Management Team

Jerry I. Porras, Ph.D., Co-Founder


Dr. Jerry Porras was most recently the Lane Professor of Organizational Behavior and Change at Stanford Graduate School of Business and author of several influential works including the bestselling book Built to Last, with Jim Collins, and Stream Analysis. Prior to Stanford, Dr. Porras held engineering positions at General Electric and Lockheed Corp. Dr. Porras received his BSEE from Texas Western College, his MBA from Cornell University, and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Stanford named the Jerry I. Porras Award for Visionary Leadership in his honor, which recognizes students for visionary leadership within a voluntary student organization or Stanford program serving the Chicano/Latino community.
 

Richard Kass, Ph.D., Co-Founder and CEO

Dr. Richard Kass has been assisting in courses at the Stanford Graduate School of Business for over thirty-five years, including 25 years in the “Interpersonal Dynamics” course, six years in the “Negotiation and Intervention” course, and 12 years in Stanford's “Executive Program in Leading and Managing Change”. He is also an adjunct professor in the Bachelors program at Palo Alto University. Richard is an author of The Stanford Interpersonal Dynamics Course Support Package for facilitators and is currently preparing a second edition of Stream Analysis: A Powerful Way to Diagnose and Manage Organizational Change with Dr. Jerry Porras of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Richard Kass brings over 20 years of experience in helping organizations effectively change and grow, including Intel, Shell Oil, Pacific Bell, Stanford Hospital, Varian Associates, and Oracle. Dr. Kass received his BA in criminology, Phi Beta Kappa, and his Ph.D. in social welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.

Ling Dawes, SVP Human Resources

Ling Dawes is Executive Global/International SVP HR Consultant at Change Analytix. Serving most recently as CHRO/Global VPHR at Elementis plc, Ms. Dawes has over 20 years’ experience in progressively more senior HR business executive and change consultant roles for mid-­- to large-­-sized companies, including ARAMARK International, Cox Enterprises Sales, Corning Technology, Cisco Systems, SAE Corporation and DuPont Global Operations. Her business and leadership capabilities span the areas of HR strategy planning and execution, organizational design and modeling, leadership development and succession planning, global diversity and inclusion, global talent acquisition, executive and sales compensation, integrated talent management and cultural transformation. She is certified Senior Profession in HR with the Society for HR Management, She is also certified Compensation, Benefits and Global Remuneration with World at Work. She holds a MA degree from the University of Arizona.

Martin Grosz, Senior Programmer

Martin Grosz is the Chief Technical Officer for Change Analytix's modeling, visualization and problem solving solutions and strategy. With a primary responsibility to create world class solutions, Mr. Grosz's organization is focused on making Change Analytix's technology-based products maximize the support of managers, in building superior-performing organizations, through their change initiatives. For more than 20 years, Mr. Grosz has provided leadership in product development, based on Software, as well as proprietary Hardware. He also played key roles in partnerships between companies in the United States, China, Japan, Taiwan, and New Zealand. His past clients include Hewlett-Packard, Compaq, Mitsubishi Electronics America, Schlumberger, Tandem Computers, Fairchild Test Systems, and San Fong Flags Company. Mr. Grosz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. He is a co-inventor on several patents.

Ina K. Bendis, M.D., J.D., Ph.D., M.S. (MGMT), Senior Consultant

Ina Bendis earned a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and ecology/evolution at Cornell University, a Ph.D. in molecular biology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, an M.D. at UCSF Medical School, board certifications in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases at Stanford University Medical Center, a master's degree in management from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from Concord Law School. She is licensed in California as a physician, attorney, and real estate broker. One application of her wide-ranging expertise is a project undertaken at Pacific Health Alliance in Burlingame, California. There she was recruited develop & implement strategy for client IPAs’ successful transition from indemnity to prepaid care, and to provide liaison with participating providers. Dr. Bendis wrote contracts, negotiated fees, reorganized UM subsidiary servicing 40,000+ lives, restructured QA/UM document flow, and created & implemented practice guidelines, leading to reduced malpractice risk & improved claims fraud detection.
